Job Descriptions
President:
- Be the face of the club
- Over see the smooth running of the club.
- Ensure all committee members work together to improve the status and profile of the club. (Make the club the best it can be).
- Offer the best service to our members, value for moneys in terms of coaching, socials etc
- Help raise the standard of performance.
- Make sure the club does not obtain debt
- Hold club competition with success
Vice President:
- Assist the president in all of the above.
- Be a second port of call and a voice for the President if he’s unavailable
- Act for the president and pass final decisions if the President is unavailable
- Help in the organization of possible club competitions
Treasurer:
- Work with the president and vice to manage the budget
- Take in money after each training session and after the fair
- Deposit money into appropriate accounts
- Help to ensure good credit
- Ensure committee members have appropriate funds e.g. for kit, for Comps, for transport etc
- Be the first signature on any outgoing funds (seek only the President or Vice for the second)
- Helping president and Vice to establish costing for possible gym competitions
- Provide monthly finance report (Statements) for committee meetings
Kit Secretary:
- Design and take all orders of kit (including Leo’s)
- Working with the President and vice to come up with a tracksuit
- Work with media to promote and sell kit to our members
- (Helping to organize awards to give out at Christmas and end of year meals?)
Social Secretary:
- Organization of social events across the year for: Members and Committee (I would suggest to aim for one a month.
- Work with media and web design to promote events
- Establish and arrange Christmas and end of year meals, including collection of deposits/ funds, need to liaise with treasurer
- Help President to arrange social event for possible competition e.g. food and pub-crawl.
Competition/ trips Secretary:
- Work with President to establish competitions for both Gym and Trampoline
- Filling in necessary entry forms, and sending entire fees (see head coach’s and treasurer)
- Filling in necessary trip forms, (from office) working with members to gain next of kin’s etc.
- Making sure transport is established (forwarding on to transport officer).
Transport Officer:
- Finding out what transport is necessary for each event/ competition
- Ordering and arranging such funding (see treasurer) of transport through the office
- Recruiting people to take their Midas test and also helping with the booking of test.
- Take some responsibly to drive to events
- Organize funding for fuel (see treasurer)
Media:
- Entice people to join our club
- Publication of flyers for fair (see president)
- Promote the club at every opportunity, social events (see social sec) and competitions (see head coach’s), let people know about are web page etc.
- Ensure entries into Purple Wednesday e.g. competition reports & social events (don’t always have to write them yourself) if you don’t, ensure there is someone that does and you obtain a copy of it
- Promote possible club competition
Web Design:
- Clear last Years information
- Trying to provide every bit of information our new members may wish to know
- Continue to create and add to are own site/ link
- Possible subheading may include:
- History of the club: how it all started?
- Club aims: …& for the future
- Who’s who (committee members, pictures & experience)
- Contact information; President, Pitt street gym, St Luke’s etc
- Training: where, when- coached by…
- Competitions: To come, past results
- Socials: list off….
- Photo Gallery: different events…. socials/ comps (Ali)
- Push the use of the forum (see media)
- Communicate with all committee members for information to up date system.
Head Coach’s: (one for gym and one for tramp)
- Ensure equal coaching opportunity to all members to improve their skills
- Work towards improving the standard of performance (by developing coaching structure)
- Ensure two coaches at every training session
- Push coaching courses/ qualification within the club (ensure the future of coaching)
- Gear members up for competitions (working with competition/ trip sec)
- Increase member involvement into competitions.
(Note- this will not necessarily be a voting system, just put your name forward… Phil and I may just appoint the heads based on qualification/ experience) unless there are many candidates and we can’t decide it could go to a vote.)
Coaches:
- Assist Head Coach where necessary and follow his instruction
- Provide a coaching service to all members
- Helping Heads to develop and employ a coaching structure
- Teach towards, routines, competition and awards- tramp
- Provide a supporting atmosphere of which to train
- Commitment to be at training sessions
(There will be no need to vote for this, just put your name forward, Phil and I will just appoint coaches based from suitable candidates.)
